Three ELC players receive all-conference honors

Three Estherville Lincoln Central players earned recognition on the 2012-13 All-Lakes Conference Boys Basketball Teams this season.

ELC senior Matt Burrell earned second team honors while fellow seniors Evan Hansen and Adam Reiter earned honorable mention.

Burrell, a 6-2 forward, scored 223 points this season, an average of 10.6 per game, while shooting 49 percent (77-of-157) from the field including 37.1 percent (13-of-35) from 3-point range. He shot 54.9 percent (56-of-102) from the free throw line. He led the team in rebounds with 139 while dishing out 44 assists, grabbing 29 steals and blocking seven shots.

ELC’s high-flying Matt Burrell earned second team all-Lakes Conference honors for his efforts during the 2012-13 boys basketball season.

Hansen, the team's point guard, scored 156 points this season, an average of 7.4 per game, while shooting 36.9 percent (55-of-149) from the field including 39.8 percent (37-of-93) from 3-point range. He dished a team-high 95 assists, grabbed 55 rebounds and had 16 steals.

Reiter, a shooting guard, scored 170 points this season, an average of 8.1 per game, while shooting 39.7 percent (60-of-151) from the field including 35.8 percent (43-of-120) from 3-point range. He shot 63.6 percent (7-of-11) from the free throw line. He also pulled down 56 rebounds had 36 steals and 25 assists.
