The Estherville Lincoln Central boys' tennis team had a few close matches against LeMars, but the Midgets only came away with one win as the Bulldogs won 8-1.
At the No. 5 singles, Tim Soper defeated Josh Sluiter 10-8.
"It was nice for Tim to get a win," said ELC coach Tony Klein. "He's been playing really well lately."
After a personal absence, Brad Olsen returned to the No. 1 singles where he took a 7-4 lead against Matt Ellefson, but was unable to hang on and lost 11-9.
In other singles, John Resiner lost 10-2 to Evan Richards, Levi Jensen lost 10-5 to Ben Meis, Thomas Bortvit lost 10-4 to Ryan Havey and Jacob Olson lost 10-4 to Cody Kliever.
In doubles, Olsen and Bortvit lost 10-0 to Ellefson and Richards, Reisner and Soper lost 10-6 to Meis and Havey and Jensen and Olson lost 10-4 to Sluiter and Kliever.
In junior varsity play, Brandon Sharar lost 8-3, Kyle Marks lost 8-2, Jose Rodriguez lost 8-0 and Koby Schubert lost 8-0.
In doubles, Sharar and Marks lost 8-2 and Rodriguez and Schubert lost 8-0.
