SPIRIT LAKE - The Estherville Lincoln Central girls tennis team didn't have their best games and finished sixth at the Lakes Conference Tournament this weekend.
ELC was led by a couple of fourth-place finishes.
The Midgets' top singles player, Bailey Hagen, finished fourth in that bracket which was won by LeMars' Carolyn Ahlers. Spirit Lake/Okoboji's Rachael Westergard was runner-up and Storm Lake's Lannie Brown placed third as they all earned all-conference honors.
ELC coach Larry Kirchner said Hagen played well against Westergard and lost in a tiebreak, but has struggled against Brown this season.
In the No. 2 doubles bracket, Samantha Rosinger and Emily Jorgenson went 3-2 on the day and finished as runner-up in that bracket. But only the No. 2 doubles champions, SL-O's Hanna Schoning and Anna Vos earned all-conference runner-up honors.
"They played prett well,"?said Kirchner of Rosinger and Jorgenson. "They had a tough loss against Cherokee, but the Braves are playing pretyy well."
Spirit Lake-Okoboji won the Lakes Conference Tournament in spite of a strong challenge from LeMars. SL-O won 16 matches to LeMars' 15 matches.
At the No. 1 doubles, Maddy Burns and Amber Schacherer placed fifth as they went 1-4 on the day.
Mackenzie Wilson placed sixth as she competed in the No. 2 singles bracket.
"It was a tough day for Mackenzie as she normally plays No. 5 singles, but she it's made her better and she's been hitting the ball better," said Kirchner.
