Officials seek help in stolen vehicles case

GRAETTINGER - Palo Alto County authorities are asking for the public's help in the investigation of two stolen vehicles in Graettinger that have since been recovered.

The Palo Alto County Sheriff's Office received a report at 10:30 a.m. Saturday regarding a 2006 Chrysler Pacifica that was stolen sometime during the overnight hours from a residence in the 300 block of South Brown Avenue in Graettinger. About an hour later, a 1996 Geo Metro was reported stolen from a residence in the 500 block of West Robins Street. The vehicle was also taken during the overnight hours.

The Geo Metro was recovered later near Graettinger. The Chrysler Pacifica was located in Estherville during the early morning hours on Sunday by the Estherville Police Department. Neither vehicle was damaged.

Anyone with information concerning either one of these thefts is asked to contact the Palo Alto County Sheriff's Office at 712-852-3535.

All citizens are urged to keep their vehicles locked when they are not in use.
