The Estherville Lincoln Central Board of Education Monday night approved hiring Shane Kalous as elementary principal at $75,000 a year, contingent on his receiving his administrative license from the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners.
Kalous comes to ELC from Clarion-Goldfield where he taught third and fourth grades for the last 12 years. He was also assistant middle-school football coach and head wresting coach for three years.
Before that he taught fifth grade at Cresco. He also coached track at both schools.
