May 30, 2013
Estherville Daily News

The Estherville Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased announce that Lexie Hash has accepted the role of executive director, effective on June 5.

Hash, an Estherville native, recently graduated from Minnesota State University in Mankato, where she received a bachelor's degree in Business and Finance. She has worked the past two summers as the events coordinator at the Chamber.

"I am really excited to be back in Estherville as the new Chamber director. I have worked with so many wonderful people here and I really look forward to continuing to build on those relationships. There are so many fun things already planned for this year and I have a lot of new ideas I would love to implement," Hash said.

Chamber Board Chairperson Crystal Pluth said, "We are delighted to have Lexie join the Chamber team. Her knowledge of the Chamber, our members and events as well as her enthusiasm for Estherville are great assets for our community. Please join me in extending a heartfelt welcome as you see her out and about."

Hash replaces outgoing director Stephanie Neppl, who has accepted a role as director of communications with the Intercollegiate Tennis Association. Neppl will start her new role, based in the Princeton, N.J. area, in July.

"I'd like to thank the Estherville community for being so supportive in the past year," Neppl said. "I've really enjoyed working with the businesses and community leaders. I wish the Chamber well under new leadership."

Pluth added, "The board was very fortunate to have had Stephanie's experience this past year and we appreciate all of the work she has done. We wish her great success as she pursues her passion for tennis in her new role."

An open house will be held Friday, June 7 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Chamber office at 620 First Ave. S. in Estherville. The public is welcome to attend to farewell Neppl and welcome Hash.
