With a 10-6 lead heading into the sixth inning, Estherville Lincoln Central had Class 4A No. 6 LeMars on the ropes.

But after getting two quick outs, the Midgets struggled to get the third as the Bulldogs scored five runs on two hits with four walks and two ELC errors. LeMars sent its top pitchers to the mound to close out the Midgets the final two innings and escaped town with an 11-10 victory.

The Bulldogs did all they could to help ELC. The Midgets trailed 6-4 heading into the bottom of the fourth inning.
