The Emmet County Board of Supervisors Tuesday had an update on what's been happening at the Estherville Area Chamber of Commerce.
Lexie Hash, who assumed the duties of executive director this spring, said over 1,100 attended the annual flight breakfast at the Estherville Airport, adding that it was probably the smoothest the serving lines have ever been.
Hash also reviewed the Rumbles Concert June 29. She said the concert went well and that she hoped to have a similar concert next summer with another band. This summer is The Rumbles' farewell tour.
With Sweet Corn Days less than a month away, Hash said there are more events than ever, including a motorcycle poker run sponsored by the Driftbusters snowmobile club and a tractor ride sponsored by United Methodist Church. Another event this year is a family oriented comedian.
Hash said Iowa Protein Solutions is nearly fulling funding the entire cost of the more-extended fireworks display this year.
