By Michael Tidemann - Staff Writer , Estherville Daily News

The Estherville Lincoln Central Board of Education Monday will hold a 5:05 p.m. public hearing to receive proposals to buy the McKinley building and later in the regular meeting act on the sale of the building.

The building has served as a daycare and Early Head Start for the past couple years. District students attending the school before that were relocated after an extensive remodeling and addition to Demoney Elementary.

In other business, the board will act on the consent agenda, including hires and contract changes. There will also be administrative reports.

Board members will hold second reading of 10.1 board policies and act on recommended student handbook changes.

The board will also review legislative priorities members submitted earlier. They'll also act on a proposed fee increase for driver's education from $240 to $245 a student. The board has also scheduled a closed session for a property purchase.

The next board meeting will be 5:15 p.m. Monday, Aug. 9.
