TERRIL, RUTHVEN, EVERLY - The Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire girls wrapped up a 9-9 season after posting a 1-2 record in the final three games.
The Titans feel 59-39 to Harris-Lake Park on Friday, Feb. 7. The Wolves jumped out to a 22-13 lead after one quarter, led 29-18 at halftime and 41-28 after three quarters.
"Tonight our transition defense hurt us a few times and we got caught standing too many times on rebounds," said GTRA coach Todd Hough.
Brooke Hoffman led GTRA with 11 points and five rebounds. Grace Skattebo had six points, Claire Sparks and Marly Bakken each had five points and Katie Olesen and Morgan McGrauth each had four points. Olesen had four assists and four steals. Bakken had nine rebounds and three steals.
On Saturday, GTRA defeated Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn 50-44. The Titans led 15-7 after one quarter and 31-26 at halftime with the score tied at 38-38 after three quarters.
"The girls played pretty good tonight and did a good job of making some plays down the stretch to come away with a nice win," said Hough.
Skattebo led GTRA with 15 points and seven rebounds. Hoffman finished with 12 points and three assists. Bakken had eight points, 13 rebounds and three steals. Olesen, McGrauth and Sparks each had four points and Alex Oleson had three. McGrauth also had four steals and three assists.
Against Clay Central-Everly on Tuesday, the Titans trailed 11-8 after one quarter, 21-16 at halftime and 26-24 after three quarters. Hoffman and Alex Oleson each had eight points, Skattebo had four and Sparks and Bakken each had two. Bakken had six rebounds and three assists. McGrauth had three assists and three steals.
