Five Spirit Lake players earned all-conference honors following the Indians' second-place finish in the Lakes Conference with an 11-3 record.
Western Christian won the conference with a 14-0 mark and finished a one-loss season with the Class 2A state title.
For Spirit Lake, junior Emma Dau was a unanimous selection to the first team while senior Bailey Loveall also was selected to the first team. Sophomore Joie Veldman earned second-team honors while senior Abbey Horsman and sophomore Bailey Newman earned honorable mention all-conference.
Dau, a 6-0 forward, led the Indians in scoring, rebounding, assists, steals and blocked shots. She scored 388 points, an average of 16.2 per game. She shot 52.1 percent (139-of-267) from the field and 60 percent (102-of-170) from the free throw line. She finished the season with 161 rebounds, 56 assists, 46 steals and 14 blocked shots.
Loveall finished the season with 194 points, an average of 8.1 per game while shooting 59.7 percent (77-of-129) from the field and 67.8 percent (40-of-59) from the free throw line. She also had 140 rebounds, 20 steals and 14 assists.
Veldman finished the season with 233 points, an average of 9.7 per contest. She led the team in made 3-pointers as she was 31-of-109 from beyond the arc. She shot 60.7 percent (35-of-56) from the free throw line. She also had 44 rebounds, 42 steals and 22 assists.
Horsman finished with 55 points, an average of 2.4 per game. She also had 44 rebounds, 35 assists and 35 steals.
Newman scored 125 points, an average of 5.4 per game. She shot 35.5 percent (22-of-62) from 3-point range. She also had 45 rebounds, 42 steals and 33 assists.
All District and All-State
Dau also was named to the Class 3A All State Second Team of both the Iowa Coaches Athletic Association Class and the Iowa Newspaper Association.
