By David Swartz - Managing Editor , Estherville News

For the second meet in a row, the Estherville Lincoln Central Girls shot their season-low score.

But playing against the top two teams in the Lakes Conference, the Midgets finished behind both Western Christian and Emmetsburg. Led by medalist Summer Jansen's 44 and runner-up medalist Alexa Schut's 45, the Wolfpack won with a 189. The E'Hawks finished with a 193 while ELC shot a 223.

"We played two of the top three teams in the conference tonight and stayed with them pretty well," said ELC coach Kevin Richardson. "The girls did a nice job and played very well. Megan shot a season low and so did Lauren."

Tia Bernholtz led ELC with a 52 while Lauren Moeller shot a 53 and Megan Brunkskill carded a 58. ELC's fourth score was a 60 by Jordan Origer.

Non-counting scores were a 69 by Olivia Truog and a 73 by Gracie Schnell.
