ARNOLDS PARK - The Estherville Lincoln Central Boys Golf Team came to play as they won the Class 2A Sectional at the Emerald Hills Golf Course on Friday.
Besides qualifying for next Friday's district meet as a team and winning the sectional meet, the Midgets had two individual qualifiers as both Corey Reeves and Jack Brashear placed fourth overall.
"I'm proud and excited for these young student-athletes would be an understatement," said ELC coach Dave Van Roekel. "I could not be happier for a group of young people that I love being around!"

As a team, ELC finished with a 325 at the 18-holemeet with Emmetsburg three strokes behind with 328 followed by Sibley-Ocheyedan with 334, Okoboji with 337, North Union with 367, Sheldon with 377, Hartley-Melvin-Sanbron with 385 and Sioux Central with 394.
The top two teams qualify for the district meet along with the top individual qualifiers.
Reeves and Brashear both shot 79s.
Rounding out ELC's team score were Chris Seylar with an 83 and Hunter King with an 84.
Non-counting scores were a 91 by Clay Tredway and a 102 by Alec Wycoff.
"We move on to district competition next Friday at Lake Creek Country Club in Storm Lake, and I can't wait for these kids to tee it up again," said Van Roekel.
Meanwhile Parker Oleson led North Union with an 86 while Nathan Eaton shot an 87, Alex Krantz a 96 and Colton Nicoson a 98.
Non-counting scores were a 107 by Tyler Quinn and a 114 by Jacob Braddock.
