Mark Saturday, June 14 on your calendar for the 50th anniversary celebration of the Emmet County Historical Society Museum at Third Avenue South and South 18th Avenue in Estherville.
Lunch will be served from noon to 1:30 p.m. and will include hamburger, baked beans, chips, pop and coffee. The Emmet County Cattlemen will be cooking up the burgers with a free-will offering accepted.
Music will follow at 2 by Karen Butler, Dee and Ashley McDonald at 3 and Paul Peterson at 4.
The Black Knights Car Club will be coming and anyone with an antique tractor is invited to bring it for the day. Items the museum will put on display outside include a corn binder, two-row horsedrawn cultivator, wooden seeder, threshing machine, 1950 Buick and 1959 Cadillac.
Museum board members have been doing a lot of work on the pioneer log cabin, installing a wood floor and building new windows and doors. They've also been building from scratch period furniture.
