While Estherville Lincoln Central committed a few errors, Emmetsburg committed many more as the Midgets defeated the E'Hawks 10-5 on Friday.
After three scoreless innings, ELC struck first as Emmetsburg committed four errors. That along with a pair of hits from Alyssa Friesner and Carson Gjerde provided ELC with a 5-0 lead.
ELC had another big inning in the sixth with Emmetsburg committing two more errors. Sarah Schacherer, Friesner and Morgan White each came up with hits in the inning.

"Small ball worked for us tonight," said ELC coach Megan Anderson.
ELC, which had given up six runs to Spirit Lake in the seventh on Wednesday, struggled defensively in the sixth inning, giving up four runs to the E'Hawks.
"We just have to stay away from that one big inning," said Anderson.
Liz Brashear picked up the win as she struck out eight batters, walked four and gave up seven hits.
At the plate, Friesner finished 4-4 while Schacherer and White each went 2-4. Megan Jensen finished 1-5 while Gjerde finished 1-4.
ELC (12-5 overall, 4-2 in the Lakes Conference) is at the Spirit Lake Tournament today with home games Monday, Wednesday and Thursday against LeMars, Cherokee and Bishop Garrigan, respectively, before going on the road against Western Christian on Friday.
