Titans notch three straight victories

GT/RA holds on against S-O

OKOBOJI - Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire picked up its third win of the week with an 8-7 victory over Sibley-Ocheyedan at the Okoboji Tournament on Thursday.

With the score tied at 4-4, the Titans outscored Sibley-Ocheyedan 4-3 in the sixth inning and held on for the victory.

Taylor Park earned the win as she struck out and walked one while giving up seven hits. Only four of the Generals' runs were earned.

GT/RA finished with eight hits led by Becky Noah, who went 2-4 with an RBI. Daisy Jordan, Sara Harris and Lauren Flaharty each went 1-3 while Morgan McGrauth, Alana Rhem and Park each went 1-4. Brooke Hoffman, Harris and Flaharty each had an RBI.

GT/RA sweeps CC-E

ROYAL - Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire picked up a pair of wins Monday, sweeping Clay Central-Everly in a doubleheader 7-3 and 13-7.

A four-run fourth inning helped the Titans secure the win in the first game. While GT/RA managed just seven hits, the Titans drew 13 walks.

Taylor Park earned the win on the mound as she gave up three runs (two earned) on seven hits with one strikeout and four walks.

Park was 1-2 while Brooke Hoffman, Sara Harris, Morgan McGrauth and Alana Rhem each were 1-3 and Daisy Jordan was 1-4. Jordan and Harris each had two RBIs.

In the second game, the Titans finished with 10 hits and 12 walks. Rhem finished 3-3 while Maddy Norris and Lauren Flaharty each went 2-4 with an RBI. Harris was 1-2 with two RBIs while McGrauth was 1-4 with an RBI and Hoffman was 1-5.

Park again earned the win. In seven innings, she gave up seven runs (five earned) on seven hits with no strikeouts and five walks.
