With the skeeters behaving themselves - sort of - there was a good turnout for Thursday night's Downtown Market and a salsa demonstration by Britney Rosburg and Katie Knobbe.
While the duo demonstrated hot salsa last year, this year they handed out samples of fruit salsa - a not-so-spicy concoction of fruit on cinnamon chips.
Following is the recipe.

n 1 peach
n 1 apple
n 1 cup berries
n 2 teaspoons sugar
n Wash and chop peach, apple and berries into small pieces.
n Combine fruit in a bowl. Add sugar and stir.
n Let sit 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
n Serve with baked chips or cinnamon chips.
n Serve as a snack, appetizer, or dessert.
n Use a variety of favorite berries: strawberries, raspberries, blackberries or blueberries.
n Can add 1 tablespoon brown sugar if desired.
