Two injured in accident near Armstrong

ARMSTRONG?- Two people were hospitalized as the result of a two-vehicle accident just west of Armstrong Wednesday afternoon.

According to Emmet County Sheriff Mike Martens, the accident occurred at 3:38 p.m. on Highway 9 west of Armstrong when a westbound 1980 Ford owned and driven by Steven Rezac of Armstrong was struck by a 2010 Dodge pickup owned and driven by David Bush, 48, of Ringsted as the Bush vehicle attempted to turn left into the parking lot at Arts-Way Manufacturing.

The driver of the 1980 Ford, Steven Rezac, 44, and a passenger, Tyler Rezac, 15, were transported to the Fairmont Community Hospital in Fairmont, Minn. for treatment for their injuries by the Armstrong Ambulance Service. The driver of the 2010 Dodge, David Bush, was not transported.

The Emmet County Sheriff's Office was assisted at the scene by the Armstrong Police Department.
