WASHINGTON Senator Chuck Grassley will hold eight town meetings in Iowa during the week of Aug. 11 as part of his annual 99-county tour.
Grassley has held a meeting in each of Iowa's 99 counties at least once every year since he was first elected to the U.S. Senate.
On Aug. 12 and 13 Grassley will be in Sioux Center, Rock Rapids, Sibley, Sheldon, Spencer, Estherville, Pocahontas, and Humboldt.
"Representative government is a two-way street. It's strengthened by dialogue between elected officials and the people we represent," Grassley said. "I appreciate the opportunity to hold town meetings, answer questions and take comments."
Grassley will hold his Emmet County Town Meeting in Estherville from 10:15-11:15 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 13, at the Iowa Lakes Community College Auditorium, Room 16, at 300 S. 18th St.
For those who are unable to attend Wednesday's town meeting, Grassley's Regional Director based in Sioux City, Jacob Bossman, will be holding open office hours in Woodbury, Plymouth, Cherokee, Buena Vista, Emmet, Kossuth, Humboldt, Webster, Dickinson, Clay, Palo Alto, and Pocahontas counties during the weeks of Aug. 18 and Aug. 25. The office hours provide an opportunity for Iowans to obtain casework assistance or to express views.
Bossman will be at the Armstrong City Hall from 10:30-11:30 a.m., Monday, Aug. 25. The city hall is located at 519 Sixth St. in Armstrong. Bossman will then beat at the Swea City Library at 208 Third St. N. from 12:30-1:30 p.m. that day.
