Estherville News

The Emmet County Republicans met Thursday night, Aug. 21 in a special nomination convention to vote on a Republican candidate for Emmet County Supervisor.

After the first vote, John Pluth came away with the majority of votes among three other individuals and was named one of two Republican candidates for supervisor on the ballot this November-Melanie Summers-Bauler being the other.

The special convention was called in order to replace current county supervisor Jon Martyr, who will be moving out of Estherville.

The Republicans convened their regular monthly meeting after the vote.

The Emmet County Central Committee meets every third Thursday in the Community Room of the Estherville Public Library at 6:30 p.m.
