Estherville News

Thumbs up to all the farmers who turned out for the Farm Bill discussion Monday at Iowa Lakes Community College. To be a farmer today, you need to be a soil scientist, biologist, botanist, tax attorney, trust and estate attorney, geneticist, veterinarian and just about every other occupation under the sun.

Thumbs up to Iowa Lakes Community College students and others who took part in the Holiday Coffee House Monday night. These talented young people never fail to entertain everyone, and the quality of their performance gets better every time you hear them. Carol Ayres and Brett Fuelberth have done a remarkable job with these young people.

Thumbs up to everyone who worked Thanksgiving Day to make life easier for the rest of us. These dedicated people gave up their holiday with their own families to help provide necessities for the rest of us. These people include police, firefighters, hospital staff, road crews and convenience store workers who help keep things going.
