Thumbs up to the Estherville Area Ministerial Association and its volunteers for holding the Community Christmas Project Tuesday. Thumbs up as well to all the people who donated. You're great, Estherville!

Thumbs up to Citizens Community Credit Union for its generous donation to the Emmet County Animal Shelter Wednesday. The animal shelter has received huge community support - both financially as well as from volunteers, and deservedly so.

Thumbs up to Kevin Thelen, the new Edward Jones owner welcomed by the Estherville Area Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors Wednesday.

Thumbs up to ELC Middle School students for a wonderful concert Thursday night. It seems like our young musicians get better and better every year.

Thumbs up to all the young engineers participating in the Lego League competition today at the Iowa Lakes Community College gym. These young people have worked many hours to perfect their projects. If you have time, stop by to see the results of their work between 9:10 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. today.

Thumbs up to Iowa Lakes Community College musicians performing at the Madrigal Feaste tonight and tomorrow night at the Estherville VFW. These talented young people put a lot of practice and joy into their performance which is one of the highlights of their college music careers.

Thumbs up to the ELC band and choir who are performing their Christmas concert 2 p.m. Sunday at Roosevelt Auditorium. They have worked hard for this concert, so let's turn out for their concert.

Thumbs up to ELC first- and second-graders performing Monday night at Roosevelt Auditorium. The first-graders perform at 6:30 while the second-graders perform at 7:30.

Thumbs up to the Estherville Good Samaritan Society which is hosting Business After Five for Chamber members Tuesday.

Thumbs up to everyone who took part in Tuba Christmas, the wagon rides and caroling Thursday night.

Thumbs up to the members of the Estherville Police and Emmet County Sheriff departments for holding No Shave Novemeber and collecting coats for kids.
