The host Warriors scored 25 points in the third to build a 51-19 advantage and cruise to a 62-24 victory.

The visiting Titans also struggled to connect in a first quarter in which North Union built a 13-0 lead. Six of those points came inside from senior Sarah Rolling with Breanna Anderson capping the period with a 3-pointer at the buzzer.

Both teams started slow in the second quarter with baskets by Madison Norris and Toni Alesch putting the Titans on the board with the score 13-4 with 5 minutes left in the half. But after a Warrior timeout, coach Merle Tigges set up a play that led to a three-point play by Rolling. Samantha Hagedorn followed with a 3-pointer and North Union's offense was back on track.

The third quarter also proved to be the Titans' best with nine points. Alesch scored six of her team-high 10 points in the quarter, but the visitors couldn't keep up with the Warriors. Hagedorn eight of her 17 points during a 13-0 North Union run to end the period.

Rolling led all scorers with 18 points while Breanna Anderson finished with 10. Kate Anderson chipped in seven points while Emma Engelby and Erica Anderson each had three and Ashley Laverty and Hallie Reese each had two.

For the Titans, Emma Heinrichs had four points, Chloe Bakken had three and Taylor Park, Madison Norris, Anna Sorenson each had two and Emma Feldhacker had one.

The Titans, who had struggled from the free throw line the last couple games, were 10-of-12 from the charity stripe. North Union was 12-of-22.

GT/RA (1-9 overall) is at Pocahontas Area on Friday. The Titans host East Sac County in Ruthven on Saturday.

North Union (9-3 overall) is on the road in Buffalo Center to take on North Iowa on Friday.
