Warriors too much for Titans

ALTA - Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire couldn't keep up with Alta-Aurelia in Thursday's match in Alta.

The Warriors jumped out to a 25-10 win in the first game with the Titans having their best play in the second game before falling 25-20. Alta-Aurelia then cruised to a 25-14 win in the third game.

Toni Alesch and Emma Feldhacker led the GT/RA attack with four kills apiece. Madison Norris finished with 14 set assists. Defensively, Emma Heinrichs finished with 11 digs while Kylea Fehr and Norris each had six digs. Feldhacker had four blocks and Alesch and Anna Sorensen each had three.

Serving, the Titans were 39-of-45 with four aces. Alesch, Fehr, Heinrichs and Norris each had an ace.

GT/RA (5-19 overall) will take part in the Twin Lakes Conference Tournament next week, which starts Tuesday. The Titans will be in Pool A at Lake View along with East Sac County, Newell-Fonda and Sioux Central.

The tournament concludes on Thursday.
