Bugs, bugs

A group of Iowa State University students from various majors showed off an arthropod zoo at the Estherville Public Library Tuesday.

The Insect Zoo program introduces the basics of arthorpod (insects, spiders, tarantulas, millipedes, centipedes, scorpions) form and function.

The star of the show was Rosie the tarantula. The children, grades first through fourth, were able to gently stroke Rosie's kitten-like hair while she crawled over the hands of the zoo leaders.
