"We're probably related to anyone in Estherville named Hanson," the sister going by Pamazon said.

Four sisters, who adopted the superheroine names Vonnie, Suzy, Pamazon, and Baby T, are making a multi-city tour through several of their ancestral homes, ranging from Salinas, California, to Kentucky, and Friday and Saturday to various points in Iowa.

"Our grandmother [Edith Hanson Stannerson] was born in Dolliver," Vonnie said. Granddaughters of John and Edith Stannerson, the four said they visited Estherville often when they were growing up.

Escapades included sneaking out to see a movie at the Drive-In.

"A lot of it looks very different, but we went to Estherville Drug, we went to the pool, played in the parks," Pamazon said.

The four planned to drive around to find the old houses of their aunts, uncles, cousins, and great aunts and uncles in Emmet County.

John and Edith Stannerson married in 1927. Edith taught elementary school in Estherville from 1921 until her marriage. The Stannersons raised their children, Ruth, Naomi, Frank, and Mary in Lincoln Township.

The fabulous four sisters planned to stay another day in Iowa for the last leg of their tour.
