Patrons of the Fine Arts Coffee House

Please plan on attending and showing your support for the Estherville Lincoln Central Fine Arts at 2 p.m., Sunday, March 18, in the high school gym for the Patrons of the Fine Arts Coffeehouse. The Patrons of the Fine Arts is an organization of parents and community members that are committed to helping support all of the fine arts activities at ELC. They will be asking for freewill donations to continue to support all of the fine arts at ELC and to help fund the upcoming appearances of the jazz band at the Iowa Jazz Championships in Ames on April 5, and students who earned the opportunity to perform at the All-State Speech Festival in Cedar Falls on March 26.

There will be performances by: Readers Theater, Women's and Men's Vocal Ensemble, Chamber Choir, Jazz Choir, Jazz Bands 1 & 2, Brass Choir, Percussion Choir, and a Mallet Quartet. There will also be a history day presentation by Savannah Dare, and Justin Christensen, and Marcus Dykstra will present their All-State winning speech performances.

ELC students cometed at the Individual Speech Contest in Carroll last Saturday.

Students receiving 1 ratings were Justin Christensen (After Dinner Speech), Marcus Dykstra (Prose), Claire Funston (Prose and Solo Musical Theatre), Camden McKenney (Poetry), Taylor Myers (Prose), and Kenlee Schilling (Poetry).

Christensen and Dykstra were nominated for All-State for their performances at Carroll. They will perform at the University of Northern Iowa on March 26.
