Over 100 show up for rendering plant odor meeting

Well over 100 people attended Thursday morning's special meeting of the Emmet County Board of Supervisors, with officials from Farmer's Union Industries, parent company to Central Bi-Products, in attendance.

Several people in addition to Emmet County Attorney Doug Hansen called for the rendering plant to be shut down while the company made renovations and upgraded the scrubbers and air quality equipment.
