Estherville firefighters were called out twice to end last week.

On Saturday, just after the Sweet Corn Days Parade, firefighters were called to the Estherville Veterinary Clinic to a gas leak at around 12:30 p.m.

Lieutenant Travis Sheridan said firefighters shut off the natural gas line, vented the building and waited for Black Hills Energy employees to repair the leak.

On Thursday, Estherville firefighters responded to a fire around 11 a.m. at the Estherville Wastewater Treatment Plant, located at 1878 Highway 4.

He said the fire damaged equipment in the building and caused some damage to the building.

No injuries were reported.
