Mustangs run amok against Titans

FONDA - Class Eight-Man No. 1 Newell-Fonda put up 433 yards of offense while holding Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire to 139 in a 69-8 victory on Friday.

Johnathan Johnson led the attack with 129 yards and three touchdowns on four carries. He also caught one touchdown pass.

Zack Sievers completed 6-of-7 passes for 75 yards and two touchdowns while rushing seven times for 88 yards and one touchdown.

The Titan's only score came on a 4-yard run by Michael Girres in the fourth quarter. Lane Reiman added the two-point conversion.

Carter Williamson had 29 yards on 11 carries. Girres had 30 yards on six carries. Blaze Alesch had one carry for 10 yards. Kyle Dalen carried the ball three times for eight yards.

Williamson caught three passes for 38 yards. Trevor Hagedorn caught one for 16, Garrett Parker caught one for 7 yards and Marcus Girres caught one pass for a yard.

Alesch and Mason McGrauth led the defense with six tackles each.

GT/RA (1-5 overall) travels to Buffalo Center on Friday to take on North Iowa.
