Emmet County Public Health director Kathy Preston asked the Emmet County Board of Supervisors Tuesday for help with repairs at the county Annex building on First Avenue South.
When Preston asked about landscaping at the front entry, supervisor Bev Juhl said the board would need an idea of prices. Preston also said the building needed handicap doors.
Preston also noted a recurring plumbing issue. She said the drain had backed up in the utility room. We've had that issue since we moved in there," she said.
Preston said there was also a leaky roof in the break room with spotted tiles in a couple restrooms which maintenance supervisor Tom Egeland thought were caused be caused by ice dams.
Preston also suggested Egeland be compensated for work at the Annex.
"He has helped me every time I've called," Preston said. "He's been very good."
