CHEROKEE - Five Estherville Lincoln Central male athletes earned all-conference at the Lakes Conference meet in Cherokee on Monday.
Justin Heinrichs ran the 400-meter hurdles in 57.32 seconds to win and be a conference champion in the event.
The medley relay team of Andres Blanco, Adam Reiter, Matt Burrell and Joe Heinrichs also earned all-conference honors with a second-place finish and season-best time of 3:45.89.
"Congratulations to the guys who made all-conference," said ELC coach Dick Barrett. "We also had three events which improved their times for the district placing."
ELC had several other events place fourth.
The 4x400-meter relay team of Zain Dostal, Justin Heinrichs, Tyler Swanson and Burrell ran the 4x400-meter relay in 3:37.3 to place fourth.
Dostal also finished fourth in the 400-meter dash in 53.69 seconds.
The 4x800-meter relay team of Joe Heinrichs, Blake Gjerde, Rod Fuller and Tyler Swanson placed fourth in 8:31.14 helped by a lead leg time of 2:03 for Heinrichs.
In the 1600-meter run, Fuller placed fifth in 4:49 and Le Christensen placed sixth in 4:57.
Christensen also placed sixth in the 3200-meter run in 10:51.34.
The 4x200-meter relay team of Derek Nieland, Burrell, Blanco and Reiter finished sixth in 1:35.67.
ELC travels to Emmetsburg for the Class 2A District Meet at 4 p.m., Thursday.
